Laminate classes 34 and 35

Laminate classes 34 and 35 are made for high passable premises (public halls, salesrooms, dance floors etc.)

Laminate is one of the most widespread floor coverings today. Its application filed is determined according to a new specialized classification. In other words, home use – 21 class (low load), 22 class (average load), 23 class (high load). Classes for business premises (sales and public areas) are 31, 32, 33, 34, 35 (depending on a load rate).

Laminate class 33

Laminate class 33 is used for high passable premises (offices, lobbies, exhibition halls).

As it is known, each customer wants to purchase laminate with a high abrasion resistance index. Often this index is marked separately by manufacturers. Laminate is also tested according to this criterion. Laminate panels abrasion resistance is defined by means of Taber test. This test calculates a number of turns, made by a grinding wheel, equipped with abrasion paper. Turns are scored up until the first signs of abrasion appear. This index is called IP (initial phase). In accordance with newly accepted norms EN 13329, depending on quantity of turns, laminate is marked with a certain class.

Laminate class 32

Laminate┬а class 32 is used for average passable premises (small offices, sitting rooms, private halls).
Modern laminate is manufactured for different kinds of premises. When choosing laminate, decide about the place, where it will be installed. So, hall and kitchen floor is highly exposed to influence of abrasion and moisture. Therefore laminate of 23 class is more suitable there. Sitting room and playroom is usually furnished with floor of 22 class. But if you need high solidity floor, choose any class from 31 to 33. Read more »

Laminate class 31

Laminate of 31 class is meant for low passable rooms (bed rooms, playrooms etc.)
Its not an easy task to choose proper laminate. Be serious when deciding it. First, pay attention for utilization class of this very covering. There are special correspondence norms EN 685. Each floor covering is being tested for abrasive durability, cigarette resistance, impact and light resistance, formaldehyde presence etc. Having passed these tests, floor covering acquires a certain class. Then according to the lowest index, the whole laminate covering is marked with a class number. About laminate classes

In other words, utilization classes mean, how long laminate will keep its exterior influenced by different impacts. Laminate acquires a certain class mark after 18 tests, included into European norm EN 13329. The norm differentiates between 2 large groups of laminate floors: laminate for business and domestic use.
