1. Humidity resistant

Manufacturers achieve this effect by means of a very high pressure, used at the production of laminate, by 100% hermetization of locks with hot wax, by adding wood dust into a panel and some other secrets.

As the technology of laminate production is not possible without phenol formaldehyde resins, consult the advisors about chemical compound of laminate and ask for hygienic certificates. Content of formaldehyde is not to exceed 0.01mg/m3, phenol – 0.003mg/m3.

5. Suitable for decoration

When choosing a color of future floor, do not forget to think out general style of a room. Any decoration is interesting in its kind, but it will become a real rimmed diamond, providing that you take the interior question seriously without buying something (even if it is really beautiful and expensive) in a rush. Of course, you can live with such floor for another 10 years, but you`d better not. Remember that laminate is a non-reusable, cheap and easily installed and re-installed material. While counting would be-expenses for your coming repair, you will notice that one square meter of laminate will not be more expensive than one square meter of decent wallpaper. Laminate can be changed in a day even in a 100- meter flat. Provided, that its base is proper installed (deviation is 1 mm for 2 linear meters).

If laminate base is proper and smooth, floor will live much longer, even longer than a set guarantee period predicts. Laminate is a relatively cheap material and it can be replaced together with wall papers. Note that the base for any floor covering is accomplished once and for all. Our advice: do not try to save money when you are preparing and leveling your floor if you want to get an ideal and durable covering.

In other words, home use – 21 class (low load), 22 class (average load), 23 class (high load). Nowadays, these factors, i.e. the number of turns, included into EN 438, are featured in ads of manufacturers. Do not misunderstand, criteria of EN 438 and EN 13329 are not opposed to each other. The fact is, according to the newly accepted norm, the process of measurement was changed. Abrasion paper in Taber test is replaced not after 500 wheel turns, as it was previously practiced, but after 200 turns. It means that the upper layer frays faster.

There are also utilization classes of laminate coverings. Here belongs 33 utilization class for business premises with an intense load and high passable premises (offices, lobbies, exhibition halls). Laminate floor endurance is 5- 6 years, and for a living space тАУ 15 -20 years, provided that it receives a proper care. Therefore, some manufacturers furnish a guarantee for the whole utilization period of this floor covering.
